Each app makes one kind of file smaller on your iPhone. Pick the one that fits what you’re shrinking.

Nanofy Cam

A camera that sets how big a photo will be before you press the shutter.

Use it when: You’re about to take the photo
Choices: Six compression levels, from None to Oblivion, one tap apart
Saves: Photos as HEIC or JPEG. With Pro, RAW as one DNG file on iPhones that support it. Video as HEVC
Your originals: Keeps the full-quality original of a compressed photo for 3 days, so you can undo it. Or 1 to 30 days, or not at all

Makes smaller copies of the photos in your library, a batch at a time.

Use it when: The photos are already on your iPhone
Choices: Four presets: Convert, Balanced, Email and Archive. Email also resizes for sending
Saves: Smaller copies as HEIC, in an album called Nanofy Photos
Your originals: Untouched. The app never deletes a photo

Shrinks a clip or a whole queue, so it fits an email or stops filling your storage.

Use it when: A video is too big to send or to keep
Choices: Balanced, Smaller and Tiny for quality. Or fit a size: Email 25 MB, WhatsApp 16 MB, Discord 10 MB. Or your own resolution and quality
Saves: HEVC video in a MOV file. Audio passes through as it was
Your originals: Kept, unless you choose to delete them when you finish
