Privacy Policy

nanofy ("we", "us") is an independent studio that makes native apps for iPhone. This policy explains what we do — and mostly don't do — with your data, both on this website and inside our apps. The short version: we can't see your photos. There are no nanofy servers to send them to, no account to tie them to, and no analytics in our apps. Where your files go next is yours to choose.

1. The nanofy website

This site (nanofyapps.com) is a static marketing website. It runs no cookies, no tracking pixels, and no analytics or advertising code in your browser, and you do not need an account to browse the site.

Two things on these pages come from other companies, and we would rather name them than imply the page is inert. Our contact and beta pages embed a form from Tally, which loads only on those two pages. And Cloudflare, which serves the site, adds a small bot-detection script to every page: it looks for automated traffic rather than for you, it sets no cookie, and it tells us nothing about individual visitors. The fonts come from our own server. The home page runs one small script of ours, which draws the ribbon at the top of the page from the measurement beside it; it stores nothing and sends nothing anywhere. Nothing on this site profiles you or follows you between pages.

Contact & beta signups. If you email us or submit our contact, feedback, or beta forms, those submissions are handled by Tally, our form provider (EU-hosted, GDPR-compliant, and covered by a Data Processing Agreement). We use the email address and message you provide only to reply to you or to notify you about the beta — we never sell it, and you can ask us to delete it at any time. Providing this information is entirely voluntary. The beta feedback form also lets you attach up to three screenshots. Tally stores them with your submission, and we use them only to understand the problem you reported. A screenshot can show your own photos, so crop out anything private before you add it.

The site is served through Cloudflare, our hosting provider, which automatically processes standard technical request data (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver and protect the site, and provides us only with aggregate, cookieless traffic statistics (such as total page views and approximate visitor counts by country) that cannot identify individual visitors. This is handled under Cloudflare's own privacy terms and is not used by us to identify or track you. If we make further changes to how this site handles your data, we will update this policy and this section first.

2. Our apps — general stance

Unless a specific app's section below says otherwise, our apps:

• process your files on your device;
• do not require an account, sign-in, or email address;
• do not send your photos, videos, or location to us or to any other company;
• contain no third-party SDKs of any kind — no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporters;
• make no network requests of their own. They work with Airplane Mode on.

Where your files can go

"On your device" is a promise about us, not a claim that data physically never leaves your iPhone. It can — but only to places you choose, and never to a company that reports back to us. Specifically:

• Your Photos library. We save what you capture or compress into your own Photos library. If you have iCloud Photos turned on, Apple syncs that library to your other devices under Apple's terms. That is your iCloud account, not ours — we have no access to it and no way to read it.
• Your other Apple devices. If you copy an image, it goes to your clipboard, which Apple's Universal Clipboard may make available on your Mac or iPad when you are signed into the same Apple Account.
• A paired Apple Watch, if you switch that on (see Nanofy Cam, below).
• Wherever you send it — AirDrop, Messages, another app, a share extension. Once you hand a file to the iOS share sheet, that destination's privacy practices apply, not ours.

In every one of these cases the data is going to you, or to somewhere you picked. None of it comes to nanofy.

What Apple sees

Our apps are distributed by Apple, so a few things necessarily involve Apple:

• Purchases. If an app offers a paid upgrade, the purchase is handled entirely by Apple's App Store. Apple tells our app only whether you are entitled to the feature. We never see your name, email, or payment details, and we operate no payment system of our own.
• Apple's own statistics. Apple gives developers anonymized, aggregate download, usage, and crash statistics, and only when you have opted in to sharing them with developers in iOS Settings. This is collected by Apple under Apple's privacy policy — we do not collect it, we cannot link it to you, and we cannot turn it on or off for you. We add no analytics of our own on top of it.
• iCloud. If a photo you ask to open has been offloaded to iCloud by "Optimize iPhone Storage," iOS may download your own file back from your own iCloud account so the app can work with it. That request is made by iOS, to you, not by us to anyone.

4. Your rights

Our apps collect no personal data, and this website collects none beyond what you voluntarily send us through our contact, feedback, or beta forms (described in Section 1) — so there is normally nothing for us to access, correct, export, or delete. Where laws such as the GDPR (EU/UK) or CCPA/CPRA (California) apply, you retain your rights under them; you can ask us at any time to confirm, provide, or delete any email address or message you have sent us, and otherwise we simply hold nothing on file. If that ever changes for a specific app, that app's section above will describe the data involved and how to exercise your rights.

5. Children's privacy

Our apps are general-audience utilities and are not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because we collect no personal data, no such information is gathered from users of any age.

6. Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and post the new version on this page. Material changes affecting a specific app will be reflected in that app's section.
