What it does

Select the photos you want to shrink, pick a preset, and Nanofy Photos writes a smaller copy of each one. Each result shows the size before and after, and how much smaller it came out.

  • Convert: about 10% smaller
  • Balanced: about 30% smaller
  • Email: about 50% smaller, and resized to 1280 pixels on the long side for sending
  • Archive: about 75% smaller

You choose what the copies keep: all the metadata, everything except location, or none of it.

Who it's for

You, if years of photos fill your iPhone or iCloud and you want smaller copies without deleting anything. Or if you email and message photos and would rather send a smaller file.

Your photos stay yours

Nanofy can't see your photos. Nanofy Photos makes no network requests of its own. It carries no analytics and no third-party code. There is no account to create and no Nanofy server for your photos to reach.

Put your iPhone in Airplane Mode and the app still works, for every photo stored on the phone. Your photos go where you send them: the copies save to your own Photos library, and from there to wherever you choose. The privacy policy has the detail.

Questions

Does Nanofy Photos delete my originals?

No. It saves smaller copies to their own album and leaves every original where it was. Deleting anything is up to you, in Apple's Photos app.

Which format are the copies?

HEIC, Apple's modern photo format, which keeps quality at a smaller size than JPEG.

Does it upload my photos to compress them?

No. Your iPhone does the work, and there are no Nanofy servers for a photo to reach.

Is there an Android version?

Nanofy Photos is iPhone only for now. We plan to expand to other platforms later.
